It is not additional giving. It is a new way to use dollars you are already required to spend to create meaningful educational impact.
When resources are redirected toward Christian education, lives can be redirected toward new opportunity, spiritual formation, and a stronger future.

A Future
Worth Redirecting
Every parent wants the best possible future for their child. For many families, Christian education offers the academic foundation, biblical worldview, and supportive community they are seeking. But for too many, the cost remains out of reach. Redirect My Taxes exists to help change that.

Questions About
Redirect My Taxes
Here are a few of the most important things to know now.
Is Redirect My Taxes connected to Children's Tuition Fund?
Yes. Redirect My Taxes is the federal tax credit participation platform for the Children’s Tuition Fund.
Am I eligible to participate in redirecting my taxes?
Most federal taxpayers are eligible to participate as a contributor. Sign up to be notified when the Children’s Tuition Fund, opens participation.
How much can I redirect through the federal tax credit?
Each family can contribute up to $1,700. As a Scholarship Granting Organization with over 25 years experience, the Children’s Tuition Fund will make sure your contribution gets to your designated school and help you with questions about getting your credit.
When can I start?
Tax credit contributions can be made to the Children’s Tuition Fund starting January 1, 2027. The legislation creating this opportunity, part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, was signed on July 4, 2025. Sign up with your email address to stay in the know about updates and how to participate.
How do I redirect my tax dollars?
Redirect your tax dollars by sending up to $1,700 to the Children’s Tuition Fund. This contribution generates a dollar-for-dollar tax credit that you can claim when you file your 2027 taxes.
Can I designate which school or student my contribution supports?
A contributor may designate a school they would like to support, but not a specific student.
Is this a tax credit or a tax deduction, and what's the difference?
The Education Freedom Tax Credit is a tax credit, not a deduction. A credit reduces what you owe dollar-for-dollar, in this case up to $1,700. A deduction only reduces your taxable income, which is worth less depending on your tax bracket.
Should I talk to my tax advisor before participating?
We recommend it. While the credit is straightforward, your advisor can confirm how it fits your specific tax situation.
